The holder of the license for a northeast Louisiana on line casino is in conversations about a transfer to southeast Louisiana, wherever it hopes to produce a $250 million casino and resort in south Louisiana.
The Moments-Picayune/The New Orleans Advocate reports that Los Angeles-primarily based Peninsula Pacific Leisure — also identified as P2E — states it has started out conversations about the challenge with officials in St. Tammany Parish.
The task faces multiple authorized hurdles. For instance, St. Tammany voters would have to undo a 1996 referendum in which they rejected casinos and movie poker. The Legislature would have to vote to place these kinds of a measure on the ballot. Condition Gaming Manage Board authorization also would be needed.
