A Bridgeport man has defied the odds by leaving his gang life and a jail sentence behind to go after his aspiration.
“My connection to my then and now due to the fact the steel, like it bends but you can by no means actually split it,” Bigelow mentioned.
He led a perilous lifestyle on the streets of Bridgeport. The street lifetime caught up with Bigelow – an incident in Fairfield adjusted every little thing.
In 2011, Bigelow was arrested and convicted of very first diploma assault, and a judge sentenced him to jail. He used 18 months within the Bridgeport Correctional Middle. When he was produced, he was established to remain out of hassle.
“I arrived property and I completed probation and I was doing the job I am like, you know what? I can do much better,” Bigelow mentioned.
He picked up the items and began focusing on his art and a new small business.
“I registered Steeling Roses as an LLC. And begun grinding, popping up on superstars and giving them pieces of artwork and just networking, I began networking unique. And that electricity I was putting into the streets, I put into my artwork,” Bigelow claimed.
He states he is now concentrated on experiencing his daily life, and less targeted on factors he are unable to command.
Bigelow sells his artwork around the world and spends his time mentoring youth in Bridgeport with his undertaking Less Guns, A lot more Roses.
